The Siberian tiger has a total of 30 teeth. Its four canine teeth are thick and powerful, measuring 3 to 5 centimeters in length—thicker than a human thumb. These canines can sever the cervical vertebrae of large animals like wild boars, or clamp onto the throat to cut the windpipe, making them an extremely important attack weapon. It has six incisors on both the upper and lower jaws, used for tearing fur and dragging prey, as well as 14 molars for cutting flesh. Its bite force is incredibly strong, reaching up to 400 kilograms, strong enough to break the thigh bones of its prey.
The tiger’s limbs are very thick, strong, and powerful, with highly developed muscles throughout its body. Muscle mass accounts for about 70% of its total body weight. The term "tiger arms" in the Chinese idiom "tiger arms and bear waist" refers to the tiger’s forelimbs, which are extremely powerful and serve as effective tools for attack, combat, and hunting.
